Tricia grew up in Chile, Kenya and France. Her family then settled in the UK where she has lived ever since. She developed her first film when she was twelve years old.
After studying at Goldsmiths College, London University and training as a journalist she decided she wanted to be a photographer. She then worked as an assistant and attended many short courses in photography in London. She began to take pictures professionally for The Independent newspaper in 1990s. Consequently, her pictures have a reportage feel to them. She uses natural light where possible and works mostly on location for books, magazines and newspapers.
She speaks conversational Spanish.
